The Russian marketplace Wildberries has introduced a cancellation feature: a button now allows users to cancel delivery within one hour of placing an order or before it begins processing, depending on which occurs first. The online platform had reported testing this capability in late December of the previous year, and now the feature has been implemented.

According to the company's statement, the order cancellation function with the corresponding button became operational on January 15. The button appears on the website and in the mobile application under the "Delivery" section after the order has been placed.

Initially, this option is available for users making purchases on a post-payment basis, and in the future, the cancellation feature via the button will be extended to all customers. Additionally, at the initial stage, the new option will only apply to products from sellers who store their goods in their own warehouses.

According to the marketplace, the cancellation feature aims to reduce the number of accidental orders, such as selecting the wrong address, placing an order by mistake, or errors in the quantity of items chosen. This option will also benefit Wildberries sellers, helping them reduce logistics costs by avoiding the transportation of goods in the case of user errors in ordering.
