YouTube plans adding gaming option and has launched an experimental YouTube Playables interface

In addition to watching videos on YouTube, it will soon be possible to play games as well. The video service has started testing the YouTube Playables gaming interface for YouTube Premium subscribers.

The games will be small and simple ones that will work directly on the YouTube page, both in the browser of the desktop version and in the mobile application.

Since the new feature is still in the testing phase, it is currently only available to a small number of users, if its availability can be checked in the experimental section of YouTube.

No other details about the project have been released yet, but overall, Google's approach is simple: to provide active YouTube users with a different type of content that will keep them on the platform longer.

By the way, this is not the first time that Google, the parent company of YouTube, has taken steps in the field of games. Google tried its hand at gaming with the Stadia project a while back, but quickly shut it down.

It was recently revealed that YouTube is testing a new feature that will allow users to search for a song on the platform by simply singing a snippet of it. YouTube will be able to recognize a song by listening to a short clip of it, whether it's a live human performance or playback of a recording on other devices, as is the case with the Shazam app.

The feature is currently available to a limited number of Android app users.
