WhatsApp to launch new feature for iOS (photo)

A new feature has appeared in the iOS 23.8.0.75 beta update of the popular WhatsApp messenger – Channels, which is currently under development. And in the latest beta version of WhatsApp, iOS 23.9.0.76, which is available in the TestFlight application, specialists of the WABetaInfo portal have found an opportunity to view the list of channels to which users are subscribed.

Channels is a new tool for delivering information to subscribers. News from authors of interest to users will be available in the status updates tab.

As you can see in the screenshot, the list of channels will be displayed in the "Status" section, which will then be renamed "Updates" and it will be possible to find both the current status of the user and his subscription. Statuses will be placed in a horizontal row to give more screen space for channels.

According to experts, channels in WhatsApp will be arranged according to the principle of Telegram channels: users will be able to subscribe to the channels they are interested in, and they will see in their news feed the content they are interested in.

For now, all these features are only available in beta versions, and it is not known when they will be available to everyone.
