TUMO centers will be opened in Akhuryan and Panik villages of Shirak province. The government decided at its meeting today, January 19, to allot Akhuryan and Panik villages land for these centers.
The TUMO centers will be located not in buildings, but in mobile modules. The two new centers will be installed directly in schoolyards and in a short time, since no construction work will be required.
TUMO technology centers teach children the basics of design, video shooting and editing, programming and other computer skills for free. They operate in Yerevan, Gyumri, Stepanakert, and Dilijan.
Outside Armenia there are also centers in Moscow, Paris, Berlin, Beirut and other cities. Besides large centers, there are small TUMO cells in Gavar, Berd, Sevan, Vayk and Kapan in Armenia, as well as in Martakert, Martuni and Askeran in Artsakh.
