A real photo of the frame of the iPhone 17 has emerged from the social network Weibo. The image was published by a Chinese insider under the nickname Schrodinger's British Shorthair. Schrodinger's British Shorthair positions itself as a reliable source that has informants in Apple's supply chain.

The case photo shows cutouts for the power button and SIM card slot or possibly the Camera Control key on the right. On the left are the familiar cutouts for the volume and Action Buttons.

Schrodinger's British Shorthair photo also confirmed early rumors that the iPhone 17 will get a horizontal camera array, like Google's Pixel smartphones. The insider also shared that the ultra-wide-angle module in the iPhone 17 will be centered.

It remains unknown whether all models will get a radically updated design or just one version - the iPhone 17 Air.

The center back of the iPhone 17 will be covered with a glass panel to provide wireless charging functionality.

The iPhone 17 series smartphones are expected to be announced and released in the fall of 2025.
