The Telegram messenger team has announced the launch of the biggest update in the “history of mini apps”. They now have full-screen mode, paid subscriptions, separate icons on the home screen, gifts, sending photos and videos, creating documents for users, device movement data, setting status with emoji, and much more.
Mini-apps can now use the entire screen in portrait or landscape orientation. Thanks to this, the application platform has support for more game genres, new gestures and interfaces.
Mini-apps can receive information about the device’s movement, which allows developers to add special controls to games or create virtual reality projects.
Individual mini-apps can now be placed on the home screen, users can share their location, as well as share media files directly from mini-apps, and apps can now use accumulated stars to send gifts to users, such as rewards for achievements.
Telegram Premium subscribers can set emoji statuses through mini-apps. Mini-apps can also create documents and files for download, such as artificial intelligence-generated profile photos or audio files. To monetize projects, developers can offer subscriptions to their mini-apps in exchange for Telegram Stars.
