In the United States, the police found a stolen 2023 Ferrari car worth $575,000 thanks to AirPods, which the owner of the car left in its cabin, the Apple Insider website reports.

The car owner's headset, paired with the car thief's iPhone, helped pinpoint its location and send the data to the Locator app, which helped find the Ferrari.

Police found the car at a nearby gas station. Although the suspect had already managed to escape, he was quickly identified thanks to his iPhone, which he accidentally dropped while exiting the car.

Police identified the suspect as 22-year-old Waterbury resident Dion Shonten. He was arrested and charged with car theft.

His accomplice, 19-year-old Keyon Webster, was also arrested. The investigation revealed that both suspects took turns driving the stolen car. Waterbury Police Chief Fernando Spagnuolo said Webster had seven previous convictions for auto theft and other crimes.
