Despite the recent release of the iPhone 16, details about the iPhone 17 lineup are already surfacing online. Special attention is being drawn to the ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air, which, according to analyst Ross Young, will feature a radically thin design, an upgraded camera system, and an ultra-premium price. However, 2025 is also shaping up to be an important year for other iPhone 17 models. Analyst Ross Young stated that both the Pro and base models will see significant improvements. Specifically, the entry-level iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air will receive an LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max will be equipped with the long-awaited under-display Face ID module.

According to Young, Apple plans to move the TrueDepth camera and various Face ID sensors under the display, allowing for the removal of the current pill-shaped notch and replacing it with a small round hole. This may also lead to a redesign or change in the Dynamic Island feature on the new 17 Pro models.

The iPhone 16 Pro was unveiled on September 9, 2024, alongside the Apple Watch Series 10 and AirPods 4. Sales of the new device began this week.
