Cybersecurity expert Alexey Kurochkin spoke to Pravda.Ru about how to find out whether your smartphone has a Trojan virus or not, and if so, what to do.

According to him, the presence of such a virus used to spy on a smartphone can be indicated by noise in the speaker, suspicious changes in the device, for example, heating, battery draining faster than usual, or when the device starts to work slowly when using the Internet or does not work at all. To detect such anomalies, it is recommended to download any antivirus.

"And when you see that the antivirus displays a message that some program you recently downloaded is transferring your data somewhere, then maybe it will be better to abandon this program, delete it," he noted.

What to do?

If you have found a Trojan virus on your smartphone, which is used for cyber espionage, then according to the expert, you need to delete all the data on your phone.

"It is better to clean the phone. delete everything, all data, after copying photos, for example to the cloud. You can save contacts and copy correspondence in messengers. Nowadays, many people store important information in messengers: personal data, passwords. Therefore, when correspondence is lost, it is a tragedy for many," he said.

After performing these actions, Kurochkin recommends downloading an antivirus to the device. According to him, it must be a known program, because otherwise the program itself could be a Trojan virus.

According to Kaspersky Lab, spying on Russians may have started in mid-2021. Detecting the malware has been difficult because the attackers carefully disguised their actions.
