Armenia is on the list of countries that are most subjected to cyber attacks. Arshak Kerobyan, head of the digitalization department of the Ministry of High-Technological Industry of Armenia, stated this at a meeting with journalists on December 26.

“We are trying to monitor the processes and understand from which centers the attacks are directed, including the structures that were created specifically for this,” he noted.

The official explained that the bill, the adoption of which involves the creation of a secure cyber environment, does not concern the regulation of issues in the field of defense, national security and foreign policy. These areas are regulated separately.

“Today, all over the world, we are talking not so much about military operations on the ground, but about cyber warfare. Not only military facilities, but also civilian infrastructure are attacked,” Kerobyan emphasized.
