Amazon Kindle users have reported issues with downloading purchased e-books online. This was reported by the portal Habr.

According to complaints on Reddit, book downloads stop at 30%. Restarting and updating the Kindle or changing Wi-Fi does not help resolve the issue. After contacting Amazon support, users were offered to return the devices under warranty.

Reports of this malfunction have also appeared on the company's official forum. In this case, book downloads stop at 1%. One user noted that the problem affected all of his Kindle devices.

Amazon Devices representative Jackie Burke stated that the issue affecting the ability to download e-books was promptly resolved.

According to Good e-Reader, Amazon support linked the problem to a server issue. The company promised to restore the ability to download books within 48 hours but warned that it could take longer.

Amazon support recommended users experiencing the issue to restart the device by holding the power button for 40 seconds, and then retry downloading the book.

The issue also affected downloading books from OverDrive to Kindle through the Libby app but did not impact the Amazon Kindle apps for iOS and Android.
