It is known which iPhones will receive iOS 18

On June 10, Apple will introduce iOS 18, which will focus on integrating artificial intelligence into the system. Based on information from Bloomberg journalist, MacRumors has compiled a preliminary list of devices that will receive the new OS.

It is expected that iOS 18 will be compatible with the same iPhone models as iOS 17. Thus, this summer, beta versions of the new operating system will start rolling out to owners of the iPhone XR, Xs, 11, iPhone SE (second generation), and newer models.

Rumor has it that iOS 18 will feature two types of AI functions. One will operate locally on the device, while the other, with more advanced capabilities, will run on Apple’s servers. As a result, some new features will only be available to owners of powerful smartphones, starting with the iPhone 15 Pro, which has 8 GB of RAM and the high-performance Apple A17 Pro chip.

For AI to work on iPad tablets and Mac computers, there will also be high system requirements, necessitating a device based on the Apple M1 chip or newer. All these devices come with at least 8 GB of RAM.
