Web3Souls hackathon to be held at Metaverse: Three winning teams to receive cash prizes of 10,000 USTD

November 21, 2022  21:19

The Web3Souls Hackathon will be held at Metaverse from November 28 to December 5, 2022 and will focus on Decentralized Society Projects (DeSoc) and bring together investors, developers and startups from the Web3 sector in one place. The three winning teams will receive cash prizes totaling 10,000 USTD.

Social Discovery Ventures, the world's largest social discovery group, is organizing this hackathon in collaboration with future Maff ecosystem researchers.

DeSoc is an important trend in Social Discovery Ventures' new product development and creation of Social Life 3.0. The company believes that Web3 and the Metaverse will enable people around the world to build new kinds of relationships in digital reality. For this reason, the company recently committed $20 million to create technology to communicate in the metaverse.

With Web3, people can create a decentralized society that will help to overcome the limitations of the ecosystem people now live in, said KJ Dhaliwal, director of strategic development at Social Discovery Ventures.

According to him, game mechanics, Web3, artificial intelligence and the metaverse are gaining weight in shaping society and will soon offer us better forms of online communication.

The hackathon program will include lectures by Web3 experts, meetings, contests, an award ceremony and a party in the metaverse. Participants will get hands-on experience with the DeSoc concept and create solutions in categories such as:

  • Soul-bound tokens (SBT)
  • Financial services in DeSoc
  • Digital identity
  • Judicial power in DeSoc
  • Reputation, ratings, mechanisms and algorithms to calculate them
  • Web3 social networks, DAO integration

The first place team will receive 5,000 USTD, the second place team will receive 3,000 USTD, and the third place team in the hackathon will receive 2,000 USTD. Each participant will also receive a commemorative NFT.
