Apple will host its WWDC 2024 developer conference from June 10 to 14. The company reports this on its website. On June 10, local developers will be able to participate in the event at Apple Park headquarters offline. It will also be available to developers from all over the world in online format.

It is expected that new versions of proprietary operating systems iOS 18, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS and VisionOS will be presented at the conference. It is also possible that during the event the second wave of sales of the Vision Pro mixed reality headset will be officially announced - and the device will officially be available for purchase outside the United States.

But there is no information about possible announcements in the field of AI, despite rumors that AI technologies should become a key feature of iOS 18. Perhaps Apple’s operating system and applications will not receive generative neural networks, but AI, which will be useful for daily use of devices.

Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman also reports that Apple will not release a proprietary chatbot with generative AI for the iPhone along with iOS 18, but will use other people's technologies - in particular, Google Gemini and ChatGPT from OpenAI.

It was believed that generative AI could make the Siri voice assistant “smarter” and improve its capabilities. AI will also be rumored to be integrated into pre-installed apps such as Apple Music, Shortcuts, Pages, Numbers and Keynote. But exactly how it will change the way these applications work is still unclear.
