Samsung has announced that it will begin rolling out the One UI 6.1 update to its 2023 Galaxy device lineup at the end of March. According to the 9to5Google portal, the new firmware will grant access to the neural network features of Galaxy AI.

The following devices will receive the update:

Samsung Galaxy S23,

S23+,

S23 Ultra,

S23 FE,

Z Fold 5,

Z Flip 5,

Galaxy Tab S9,

Tab S9+,

Tab S9 Ultra.


The Galaxy AI features, introduced alongside the Galaxy S24 series, will be available on these devices after the update.

Noteworthy Galaxy AI features include Tone Changing, capable of rewriting text entered on the Samsung keyboard in multiple styles and correcting errors. In the Samsung Notes application, artificial intelligence will assist in structuring text, correcting errors, and providing summaries. The "smart" voice recorder, in turn, can transcribe voice recordings.

One of the most significant additions is two-way translation (voice and text) during phone calls, although Russian language support is currently not available. These and many other features, including Circle Search, Chat Assist, Generative Edit, Instant Slow-Mo, will be present on Samsung smartphones and tablets by the end of March.
