Samsung unveils world's first transparent Micro-LED display

The South Korean company Samsung has presented the world's first transparent Micro-LED screen during the annual CES exhibition. In addition, the company presented three such screens at once.

At the moment, there is no information about the price of transparent Micro-LED screens, as well as the timing of the appearance of this technology in consumer devices. Despite this, Samsung showed three transparent Micro-LED screens with different designs.

Two of the screens have tinted glass, making it easier to overlook anything behind the screen. However, the third screen is completely transparent, like normal glass, and has retained the frameless design.

The effect of Samsung's transparent Micro-LED screens on viewers is difficult to describe in words, as the broadcast content is almost like a hologram floating in the air. All three displays on display are about a centimeter thick, which adds to the illusion of a floating screen, and the high pixel density of the Micro-LED panel makes images incredibly clear.

A Samsung representative reminded that transparent Micro-LED screens have a higher brightness than transparent OLED screens, which means they are less affected by ambient light. However, given the price of Samsung's already released Micro-LED TVs, which cost around $150,000 for a 110-inch model, it's clear that it will be some time before transparent Micro-LED displays hit the consumer market.
