The American company Microsoft has announced an upcoming update to its lineup of Surface laptops and tablets. These devices will be equipped with new-generation neural processors supporting artificial intelligence (AI) features, as reported by the Windows Central portal.

According to sources cited by the publication, the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 models will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon X chips based on ARM architecture or 14th-generation Intel processors.

Internally, Microsoft refers to the next-generation ARM devices based on Qualcomm chips as "CADMUS computers." These devices are specifically designed for the new version of the Windows operating system with the codename Hudson Valley, which will leverage many of the upcoming next-generation AI capabilities.

Microsoft positions CADMUS computers as competitors to Apple devices, offering similar autonomy, performance, and security. It is expected that the next Surface Pro and Surface Laptop models will be among the first CADMUS PCs to be available for purchase next year, leading up to the release of Hudson Valley.
