WhatsApp adds new feature that will make video calls more interactive

December 6, 2023  18:15

In the beta version of WhatsApp for iPhone, a new feature has been discovered, allowing users in group chats to share their screen content and broadcast movies and music to their conversation partners. This information comes from the WABetaInfo portal.

The innovation was found in WhatsApp beta for iOS with version number 23.25.10.72, which can be downloaded via TestFlight. When this feature is activated, the sound playing on the user's device is transmitted to other participants during a conversation. It's worth noting that this feature is not compatible with voice or video calls that do not involve screen sharing.

According to WABetaInfo, this new feature will enable users to collectively watch movies, video presentations, listen to music, and enhance the interactivity of group video calls.

Currently, this novelty is only available to selected testers on iPhone. There is no information on when WhatsApp will introduce this feature for users on stable versions of the messenger.
