The latest version of WhatsApp for iPhone introduces the capability to send media files in their original size, as reported by the WABetaInfo portal, which tracks changes and innovations in the messenger.

According to the source, this new feature was spotted in WhatsApp version 23.24.73 for iOS. With this enhancement, users can now send photos and video files without compromising quality. Notably, attachments must be sent in the document format, similar to how it is implemented in Telegram. The size limit for sent files is set at 2 GB.

Additionally, the 23.24.73 update expands the functionality of WhatsApp on iPhone by allowing users to participate in voice chats in group conversations and react to user statuses using their own 3D avatar. Users have access to six types of reactions. Notifications for ongoing, completed, and missed calls have also been redesigned.

The update will be available to all WhatsApp users on iOS in the near future, while this feature is still in the testing phase for Android.
