Samsung has revealed its latest portable solid-state drive (SSD), the T5 Evo, boasting an impressive storage capacity of up to 8 terabytes. This marks a pinnacle in the realm of portable SSDs, offering users the maximum available storage on the market.

According to Samsung, the 8TB capacity of the T5 Evo is sufficient for storing over 2 million photos or 3500 videos, each with a size of 2 gigabytes. The device is remarkably compact, measuring 95 x 40 x 17 mm and weighing a mere 102 grams. This makes it an ideal companion for individuals on the go, requiring a reliable means of data storage.

Connecting to PCs or other devices is facilitated through the USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 interface. While the data transfer speed is claimed to reach up to 460 MB/s, it's noteworthy that this speed may be significantly constrained by the interface itself. In addition to the 8TB version, SSDs with capacities of 2TB and 4TB are also available.

The pricing structure follows an ascending order based on storage capacity, with the 2TB version priced at $190, the 4TB at $350, and the remarkable 8TB variant at $650. The T5 Evo is already available for purchase, offering users outstanding data storage capabilities in a convenient and portable format.
