Bazoomq laboratory, CSIE build first Armenia-made satellite that will be launched into low-Earth orbit

The Bazoomq Space Research Laboratory and the Center for Scientific Innovation and Education (CSIE) are working on a project that aims to launch a satellite built in Armenia and by Armenian specialists into low-Earth orbit.

"Opening some parentheses, let's say that the satellite named Hayasat-1 is of CubeSat format and will be sent into space by way of the Falcon-9 rocket of the SpaceX company. If everything goes according to plan, the first satellite created in independent Armenia will send data from space already this year," says the statement released by the Bazoomq lab.

Also, it is noted that the link with this satellite—that is, receiving data and sending instructions—will be carried out directly from the area of the Bazoomq lab.

In the photo above, Hayasat-1 team members are seen working with the test sample of the satellite in the "clean room" of the Alikhanyan National Science Laboratory in Yerevan.
