Ozon opens a representative office in Armenia

Online marketplace Ozon has opened a representative office in Yerevan and launched a sorting center, the company also plans to further develop its own logistics infrastructure in Armenia, the company told RIA Novosti.

"As part of international business development, Ozon launched a sorting center in Yerevan. The logistics facility with an area of 2000 square meters will ensure the reception and processing of orders, their collection and packaging, as well as work related to returns. The opening of the sorting center will make it easier for local entrepreneurs to enter the Russian market and allow them to more effectively sell to 37 million Ozon customers in Russia," the company said.

It is noted that sellers will be able to deliver their goods to SDEK order points located in Yerevan and other major cities of Armenia, and the average delivery time for goods to Russia will be five-eight days. At the same time, in the future, the company plans to develop a network of its own order acceptance and delivery points throughout the country.

"In order to attract sellers from Armenia, Ozon also opened a representative office in Yerevan. Thanks to the developed logistics, the company intends to expand the range of products presented at the global level in various categories, including in such popular categories as "Household goods" and "Clothes, shoes, accessories", the message says.

At the beginning of July, Ozon started selling goods from Russia in Armenia. In addition, the platform is developing business in the CIS from 2021 and already has its own logistics infrastructure in Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
