The company xAI, founded by Elon Musk, has introduced its latest achievement in the field of artificial intelligence - the Grok 3 chatbot. The new model promises to fundamentally change human understanding thanks to its computational power and creativity.

At an event attended by about 100,000 online viewers, Musk demonstrated the capabilities of Grok 3, noting: “We're pleased to announce Grok 3, which, we believe, significantly surpasses Grok 2 in a very short time frame.”

Musk expressed gratitude to the development team: "A huge thank you for the titanic effort of our wonderful team. It's an honor to work with such talented people."

Grok: Where does this name come from?

Elon Musk explained that the name "Grok" was inspired by Robert Heinlein's novel "Stranger in a Strange Land." In the book, "grok" means a complete and deep understanding of something, emphasizing the importance of empathy and mutual understanding, which Grok 3 aims to embody.

Development of Grok 3

Creating Grok 3 required significant effort. The xAI team faced the challenge of building infrastructure capable of supporting such an advanced AI system. Time was limited because we wanted to bring Grok 3 to market as quickly as possible, the team shared. For this, xAI had to build its own data processing center. In a record 122 days, they commissioned the first 100,000 graphics processors. Over the next 92 days, the company doubled its H100 processor cluster, significantly increasing computational power for further development of Grok 3.

AI Creativity

Grok 3 stands out for its creative component. During the demonstration, it was shown how AI created a new game that combined elements of Tetris and Puyo Puyo in a unique format. This confirms the capabilities of Grok 3 not only in scientific but also in cultural, entertainment contexts.

Future Updates and Accessibility

Grok 3 will continue to improve thanks to daily updates. Initial access will be provided to Premium Plus subscribers on the X platform. The new "Super Grok" subscription will open extended access to additional features, including voice interaction, promising a more intuitive interface.
