At the MWC Shanghai 2024 event, Honor demonstrated the first deep fake recognition algorithm on the smartphone market, which can identify generated videos in 3 seconds, even without internet access.
To detect generated videos, the AI Deepfake Detection system examines video features frame by frame, including human eye movements, lighting, image sharpness, and other features invisible to the human eye.
AI Deepfake Detection technology was trained on a database of images and videos used in online fraud cases. When the system detects deep fake, it notifies the user about it, after which the user can stop communicating with potential fraudsters.

In addition, a technology has been developed for people with visual impairments, which simulates bifocal lenses when interacting with the screen. The development is designed to reduce the risk of developing myopia due to prolonged use of mobile devices. Moreover, the company promises to "cure" myopia at the initial stage.
"Honor AI Defocus Eye Protection technology can reduce myopia by an average of 13° after 25 minutes of screen reading, and for some users the maximum reduction was 75°," the company said in a press release.
