Apple will not show new devices at the WWDC 2024 conference on June 10, although the possibility of a surprise presentation of a device is not excluded, Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman has said.
Gurman also noted that the presentation of a new Apple TV model is "not inevitable". Although in his previous predictions, he claimed that the device will appear on the market in the first half of 2024. The current Apple TV model was introduced in October 2022.
The next Apple TV is believed to have a faster processor than the current A15 Bionic chip and a lower price. TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo believes that the 2024 Apple TV will cost $99, instead of the $129 that Apple's 2022 model costs.
There were also rumors that the design of the next model of Apple TV will not undergo major changes. At the same time, Gurman said that Apple is considering adding a built-in camera to a future model. The FaceTime app has already been added to Apple TV's tvOS 17, allowing users to make video calls on the TV, but currently requires using the rear camera of an iPhone or iPad connected to the TV.
NEWS.am Tech reported earlier that new versions of iOS 18, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS and VisionOS brand operating systems are expected to be presented at the WWDC 2024 conference. A second wave of Vision Pro mixed reality devices may also be officially announced, and the device will be officially available for purchase outside of the US.
