Users have reported having problems with Telegram messenger with some having difficulties with accessing both the desktop version of the messenger and logging into their accounts.

According to Downdetector, 74% of users reported problems with network connection and downloading content while 24% of users complained about problems related to the functionality of the Telegram messenger. In addition, 2% of users said they could not log into their account.

Users started reporting problems on the evening of July 30. At the time of publication, there was no information about what caused the problems and whether they were resolved.

Earlier, Google engineer Dan Reva announced that he had discovered a dangerous vulnerability in the version of the Telegram messenger for macOS, which can be used to activate the computer's camera and microphone.

The Gaming Deput website explained that the vulnerability allows an attacker to inject a malicious dynamic library (Dylib) into the version of Telegram for macOS, which allows the hacker to record the video taken by the camera and store the recording in a hidden folder.

Later, the founder of Telegram, Pavel Durov, however, denied the existence of such a vulnerability.
