Kairan Quazi, the talented teenager, will soon join the Starlink engineering team, making him the youngest person ever to be employed by a spacecraft company.

Quazi expressed his excitement about joining what he described as the "coolest company on the planet" in a recent LinkedIn post. He expressed gratitude towards SpaceX for not allowing his age to serve as an arbitrary measure of maturity and ability. In his post, he shared details of his journey, which began at the age of 9 when Las Positas College enrolled him as a third-grade student in a full-time mathematics A.S. degree program.

Quazi's career trajectory took a significant turn when he met Lama Nachman at Intel Labs, where he was offered a generative AI opportunity. Reflecting on his experience, he thanked SpaceX for the transparent and challenging interview process. He particularly highlighted his interaction with Colin Compton, a member of the SpaceX team, stating, "I knew from our first conversation that I found my people."

Describing his personality as fun, fearless, and driven by intense intellectual curiosity, Quazi has already achieved numerous accolades. He holds the distinction of being the youngest graduate in Santa Clara University's 172-year history, a feat recognized and praised by the university itself. Quazi actively participated in the Association for Computer Machinery and held the position of senior senator in the Associated Student Government. Additionally, he gained popularity as a highly sought-after tutor.

Through social media, the 14-year-old prodigy shared glimpses of his preparation for a major job interview, and after months of anticipation, he proudly posted a screenshot of the job acceptance letter from SpaceX.

As the next step in his extraordinary journey, Quazi and his mother will be relocating to Washington State to commence his work at SpaceX.
