Samvel Martirosyan: At night many received letter from Apple that they are hacker attack possible victim: What should be done?

A lot of people in Armenia received letters from Apple company at night that they are possible victims of a hacker attack at the state level, information security specialist Samvel Martirosyan informs on Facebook.

The expert noted that it is about infecting the people’s smartphones with a virus, or an attempt to infect them with the Pegasus spy program.

Martirosyan said the fact that many people have received such letters from Apple does not mean that Pegasus is now on the smartphone of these people, but it is about the hacker attack that happened last fall.

"Most likely, this is the work of Azerbaijan. I draw the conclusion from the list of victims and from the fact that Azerbaijan is proven to be an active perpetrator. Some partners of our international organizations are also of the same opinion. There are no clear proofs, and there will hardly be [any] because the infection is carried out by the Israeli organization at the request of the client; that’s why the ‘threads’ are being cut," the expert added.
