U.S. First Lady Melania Trump is actively promoting the idea of introducing humanoid robots into the education system for American children. In her view, artificial intelligence will soon move beyond smartphones and evolve into human-like assistants capable of becoming personal teachers.

This was reported by CBS. The First Lady spoke on March 25 at the “Fostering the Future Together” forum, which she opened at the White House. The event brought together representatives from dozens of countries and technology companies to discuss the role of education, innovation, and AI in child development.

“Imagine a humanoid educator named Plato”

Melania Trump described in detail a future in which humanoid robots help children access vast amounts of knowledge directly from home. She suggested envisioning a robot tutor named Plato, explaining that such a system would provide instant access to classical disciplines—including literature, science, art, philosophy, mathematics, and history—making the entire body of human knowledge available in the comfort of one’s home.

According to her, such a robot would be able to adapt to each child’s individual needs, remain consistently patient, and always be available. As a result, children would be able to develop deeper critical thinking and independent reasoning skills.

She emphasized that this kind of system would deliver a personalized learning experience tailored to each student, ensuring constant accessibility and patience, and would likely lead to stronger development of critical and independent thinking in children.

She also added that actively implementing such technologies is necessary to ensure that American students become the most highly educated generation in the world and help the United States maintain long-term economic leadership.

A symbol of the new initiative was the humanoid robot Figure 03, developed by the American company Figure AI. It accompanied Melania Trump during the forum’s opening: the robot walked with her along the red carpet, addressed participants, and even greeted them in several languages.

The robot introduced itself as a humanoid created for the United States of America and expressed gratitude to participants for taking part in what it described as a historic movement to expand opportunities for children through technology and education.
