Six new emoji will appear on smartphones and computers in 2023, including phoenix, lime and mushroom, according to Jennifer Daniel, chair of the Unicode Emoji subcommittee.
According to Emojipedia, the Unicode consortium is considering 578 new emojis that could be included in the Emoji 15.1 collection. True, most of them differ only in minor details from existing ones; for example, images of a jogger, car, and surfer may appear to move from left to right; the same emojis, but moving from right to left, already exist.
In addition to the aforementioned phoenix, lime and mushroom, six new emoticons will include a broken chain, "emoticons" nodding in agreement and denial.
The final moderation of the new emoji is expected in September, and they will appear on social networks and in all messengers on smartphones and computers at the end of the year, in parallel with the release of Unicode 15.1.
