Xiaomi reveals new smartwatch Watch S2 and wireless headphones Buds 4

Chinese company Xiaomi unveiled a smartwatch Watch S2 and wireless headphones Buds 4 during the global presentation of new products.

The watch is available in two versions: a 42mm case and 1.32-inch screen and a 46mm case and 1.43-inch screen, but both versions have a 466x466 resolution screen. The case is made of steel and the screen is protected by sapphire glass.

The phone also has two physical buttons to control it, which complement the touchscreen features. The smart watch has support for more than a hundred types of sports workouts, as well as monitoring heart rate, blood oxygen saturation levels, sleep quality and other features.

Xiaomi Watch S2 is equipped with NFC and GPS sensor, and a built-in microphone and speakers allow you to use the accessory during a phone call. The battery capacity of 305 mAh and 42 mm provides up to a week of use without recharging, while the 46 mm version can last up to 12 days thanks to the battery capacity of 500 mAh.

In China, the price of the new Xiaomi Watch S2 starts at $143.

Xiaomi Buds 4 wireless headphones

Each of the headphones got two speakers, they have support for spatial sound and high-resolution sound. The novelty also has an active noise cancellation system that uses three built-in microphones.

The 480 mAh battery provides up to six hours of use without recharging, and the charger further extends the Xiaomi Buds 4's battery life to 30 hours.

The Xiaomi Buds 4 headphones cost $100 in China. Both the watch and the headset will go on sale this December.

Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro smartphones

Earlier NEWS.am Tech reported that Xiaomi introduced two new smartphones - Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro models - during this presentation. Both devices feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip and have 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 128, 256 or 512 GB of built-in memory.

The smartphones have an improved cooling system, which allows to maintain the maximum performance of the devices even in the most active use.

The main difference between the smartphones is in the cameras. The Xiaomi 13 has a 32-megapixel front camera, as well as a triple main module: a 54-megapixel main camera with Leica optics, a 10-megapixel telephoto lens with 3.2x optical zoom and a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens, again with Leica optics.
