$70,488: Bitcoin hits new record high price

Bitcoin has set another record: today, the price of this cryptocurrency crossed the $71,400 mark, Reuters reports. According to LSEG, the price of Bitcoin rose to $70,488.50, after which there was no downward trend.

It should be noted that the bitcoin exchange rate has started to increase steadily in recent days. Last week it was as high as $69,000 and then briefly dropped. However, against the background of deflation, large investors began to buy bitcoin, as a result of which it stabilized.

Experts make different predictions: some believe that the exchange rate will continue to rise and set new records, others are sure that the price will fall.

Ben Laidler, Global Markets Strategist at retail investment platform eToro, explained that Bitcoin's price growth is fueled by continued financial inflows into new ETFs, the April halving and expectations of a rate cut by the Federal Reserve in June.
