Users again complain about Windows 11: OS performance worsens after update

December 7, 2023  10:18

After updating to the latest version of Windows 11 (23H2), some users experienced deterioration in the performance of their computers, according to Neowin.

Users are complaining of a 5-10% reduction in performance, which has been confirmed by diagnostic software. Some people are experiencing delays when launching games that are only resolved when downgrading to the previous version of Windows 11 (22H2).

It is believed that the problem may be related to the operation of the Windows Defender antivirus program. In certain cases, disabling or resetting the program restored computer performance.

Microsoft has not yet provided comments on this issue. Performance will likely be restored in future updates. Currently, users are considering options to disable Windows Defender or return to a previous version of the operating system.

Let us remind you that recently a fresh update of the Windows 11 operating system (KB5032190), designed to correct multiple errors, turned out to be a source of new problems and bugs. Microsoft also promised to solve them.
