iOS 17.1.1 has new bug that could paralyze iPhones

November 27, 2023  18:11

Apple has released a fresh update, iOS 17.1.1, but, unfortunately, it is not without its drawbacks. According to WCCFtech, the new update causes serious malfunctions in the operation of iPhones of various models.

Users have reported that the error occurs when opening and exiting search in the App Library while holding down the screen. After returning to the same section, the smartphone completely stops responding to any actions, including touching the screen and pressing buttons. This makes the iPhone virtually unusable as it is impossible to unlock the device, turn it off, or perform other operations.

The problem is affecting different iPhone models, including the latest iPhone 15. The only way to get the device working again at the moment is to force a restart by holding the Power button and pressing the Volume buttons successively.

As of now, Apple has not yet expressed its opinion on this issue and has not announced any plans to release an update to fix this bug. Users who have not yet installed iOS 17.1.1 are advised to delay the update until further clarification.
