The Indian interplanetary self-propelled Chandrayaan-3 successfully made a soft landing on the Moon.

The landing was broadcast live by the Indian Space Research Organization. It can be viewed on the organization's YouTube channel.

The soft landing took place at about 16:35 p.m. Yerevan time near the south pole of the Moon.

Thus, India has become the fourth country in the world whose manufactured device is able to make a soft landing on the surface of the Moon. So far, the USSR, USA and China have done it.

Earlier, the Indian Space Research Organization announced that the landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the Moon could be moved from August 23 to August 27.

The Chandrayaan-3 mission was launched on July 14 by a Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) Mk III rocket from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota Island.
