Samsung is preparing to release the new Galaxy S23 FE sub-flagship smartphone, which will be presented in September, respected insider Yogesh Brar wrote about this on his page of the X social network (formerly Twitter), publishing the detailed specifications of the device.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE will feature a 6.4-inch Full HD+ Dynamic AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Depending on the region, the smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or Exynos 2200 chips.

The main camera of the device will consist of three modules: a 50 MP module with optical stabilization, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 12 MP module with a telephoto lens. The front camera will get a resolution of 10 MP.

The Galaxy S23 FE's 4,500 mAh battery will support 25W fast charging as well as wireless charging.

The smartphone is said to be water- and dust-resistant and will run on the Android 13 operating system with its own One UI 5.1 interface. It is assumed that Samsung will then release four major Android updates for the smartphone and provide the smartphone with security patches for five years. The price of the device has not yet been announced.

The last Samsung smartphone in the FE (Fan Edition) series was the Galaxy S21 FE, which was released in early 2022. Since then, for unknown reasons, the company has delayed the release of other devices in the FE series, although it has released tablets in this series. These devices have been very popular among Samsung users due to their flagship hardware and lower price compared to the older Galaxy S series smartphones.
