GTA 6: gameplay footage, Vice City locations, and two in-game characters data leaked

September 19, 2022  10:50

A hacker published videos and screenshots of unreleased GTA 6 game, showing gameplay footage, Vice City locations and information about two in-game characters.

A GTAForums user named 'teapotuberhacker' claims that the 90 clips he posted were taken from a test build of Grand Theft Auto 6. Screenshots and excerpts from these videos are circulating on YouTube, Twitter, Reddit, and other resources, and the information from these materials is quite consistent with what appeared in the previous GTA 6 leaks. According to these reports, the game will feature several playable characters, one of which is a woman, and the action will take place in Weiss City, Miami style, and its suburbs.

Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreyer also confirmed the accuracy of the new leak. He said:

“Not that there was much doubt, but I’ve confirmed with Rockstar sources that this weekend’s massive Grand Theft Auto VI leak is indeed real. The footage is early and unfinished, of course,” he tweeted. “This is one of the biggest leaks in video game history and a nightmare for Rockstar Games.”

In one of the videos, a character named Lucia robs a waffle restaurant along with an accomplice named Jason. The counter counts down Time to Cops Arrival, and the whole scene is reminiscent of the robberies in Red Dead Redemption 2. The scene, though, looks very raw so far, especially the subtitles with captions like, "Jason: random swearing."

More convincing seems to be the video showing a conversation by the pool between a male character and a couple of associates. The dialogue between them is Rockstar-esque, and the voice acting is at a decent level.

Another video features a scene in a strip club and even a pylon dance.

According to previous leaks of GTA 6, the game has been in development since 2014 and was originally codenamed Project Americas. The game is unlikely to be completed before 2025, and it is unknown when it will be released on PC.
