Google engineer dies after falling from the 14th floor of the company's office in New York

A 31-year-old Google engineer died after falling from the 14th floor of the company's office building in New York. According to the New York Post, what happened is a suicide and the second committed by an employee of the company recently.

According to the newspaper, the man, whose name has not been mentioned, fell from the 14th floor of the 111 building on Eighth Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Authorities said police responded to multiple 911 calls about an unconscious person on the ground on West 15th Street.

The police arrived at the scene found the man unconscious and took him to the Bellevue hospital, where the doctors registered his death. The police found the fingerprints of the deceased on the outdoor balcony of the 14th floor. Investigators did not find a note or video message left by the man.

"We are deeply saddened by this tragic incident involving one of our employees," Google PR Manager Alex Joseph said.

Another Google employee who also worked at the company's headquarters in Manhattan died in February. Thirty-three-year-old Jacob Pratt was found dead in his apartment not far from the Google office. According to the police, the death occurred as a result of apparent suicide.
