Update on WhatsApp: one account can now be used on four devices simultaneously

WhatsApp's new Companion mode will allow using one account on four different devices. For a long time, this mode was available only to a limited number of users, but now it has appeared in WhatsApp 2.23.8.2 beta version for Android devices.

As Wabetainfo informs, the ability to use the same WhatsApp account on different devices running the same operating system can be very useful for those who use several smartphones or tablets along with their main smartphone.

With Companion mode, all user chats will be automatically synced between all four devices connected to the same user account.

For now, this new feature is available only in the beta version of WhatsApp, and when it will become available to everyone is not known. There is no word yet on when the developers plan to launch a similar feature in the iOS version of the app.

In beta version 2.23.8.2, another new feature has been launched, which aims to increase the level of privacy for users: it allows you to block individual chats, providing access to them only by fingerprint or password and thus protecting the user's correspondence from third parties.

For the first time in recent years, WhatsApp plans to change the design and interface of the Android version of its app: it will become more similar to the iOS version with the navigation bar moving from the top of the screen to the bottom.
