Apple is preparing to release a new device with a revolutionary design—the iPhone 17 Air, which will become the thinnest model in the company’s history. This was reported by MacRumors, citing The Wall Street Journal. Despite its unique design, the iPhone 17 Air will be priced lower than the Pro series, which starts at $999.

The thinnest iPhone ever?

The iPhone 17 Air will be the thinnest iPhone model ever, breaking the record held by the iPhone 6, which was 6.9 mm thick. Rumors suggest the new device’s thickness could range from 5 mm to 6.25 mm, significantly thinner than the iPhone 16 lineup, which starts at 7.8 mm.

However, to achieve such thinness, Apple had to forego some premium features available in the Pro models. Notably, the iPhone 17 Air’s camera will be simplified, contributing to a lower price.

What to Expect from the iPhone 17 Air Unbelievable Thinness: Between 5 and 6.25 mm. Affordable Price: Under $999. Simplified Features: A less advanced camera compared to Pro versions. Release Date: September 2025. New Foldable Devices from Apple

In addition to the iPhone 17 Air, the company is working on two foldable devices:

A foldable MacBook with a 19-inch display, which will be the largest in its class. A foldable iPhone with a display larger than 6.9 inches, surpassing the size of the current iPhone 16 Pro Max.

These devices are expected to usher in a new chapter in Apple’s product lineup and further strengthen its position in the innovative gadget market.
