In an impressively short time, Eldrive has evolved from a newcomer to a leader in the sale of Chinese electric vehicles in Armenia and beyond its borders. In a conversation with Business Development Director Arevik Ananyan, we explored how it all began, how logistics processes are managed across dozens of countries, why delivery delays occasionally occur, and what solutions have already been implemented. Eldrive is more than just a car dealership—it is building an entire ecosystem that is transforming the region’s energy and logistics landscape.

Eldrive became a leader in the industry in a remarkably short time. How did your journey start?

In 2024, we analyzed the growing demand for electric vehicles and decided to open our first showroom for Chinese electric cars in Yerevan. Since then, Eldrive has become the market leader for Chinese electric vehicles in Armenia and, more recently, in the region.

What is the scale of the company’s operations today?

We are now operating not only in Armenia but also in Georgia and the UAE. We have two flagship showrooms—in Yerevan and Tbilisi. We serve not only individual clients but also government institutions, large organizations, and partner dealership networks.

In Georgia, we have a licensed customs warehouse capable of receiving and distributing up to 2,000 vehicles per month. In two months, it will operate with a full model range, significantly reducing delivery times: instead of 60 working days, available models will be handed over to customers within 24 hours.

How do you organize deliveries to different countries?

Eldrive has established its own logistics service to fully oversee import, distribution, and customs clearance processes. Our vehicles are supplied not only to Armenia and Georgia but also to Russia, Eastern European countries, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Côte d'Ivoire, Nigeria, and other markets. Currently, we ensure fast delivery in 2–3 days to Bulgaria, Romania, and Albania via the Burgas port.

Given the scale of your operations, what challenges do you face, and what message would you like to convey to your clients?

Such rapid growth naturally brings new challenges. At present, we are experiencing certain delivery delays, driven by the high volume of sales and the company’s overly swift expansion.

Eldrive is fully aware of its responsibilities and is doing everything possible to fulfill them and meet customer expectations. We sincerely thank our clients for their understanding, loyalty, and patience.

Delays have also been influenced by holiday periods:

  • Over three weeks of holidays for deliveries via Dubai,
  • A month-long break for the Chinese New Year,
  • May holidays in China,
  • Collapses at the Upper Lars checkpoint.

What is Eldrive doing to address these issues?

We are expanding our supply team—from external relations to logistics. We have acquired our own car carriers. We have established a major regional warehouse in Georgia, where, within two months, vehicles matching market demand will be available for delivery to clients in 24 hours instead of the previous 60 days. Additionally, we have opened a warehouse in Dubai, offering a wide range of Chinese auto parts, which will enable the delivery of unavailable components to Armenia within 7–20 days.

Our team continues to work tirelessly, providing clients with the best solutions, prompt service, and the most competitive offers on the market.
