OpenAI has announced the launch of a new version of its AI chatbot, ChatGPT, dubbed GPT-4.5, according to Axios.
What’s New in GPT-4.5?
The updated AI now boasts improved understanding of user queries and delivers even more natural responses. Access to GPT-4.5 will first be granted to ChatGPT Pro subscribers and API users. Developers will roll out this version for testing to identify any potential flaws.
It has also been revealed that GPT-4.5, previously known by its codename Orion, will be the final generation without deep reasoning technology, which OpenAI plans to introduce in GPT-5.
Other Updates from OpenAI
Recently, OpenAI enhanced its ChatGPT app by adding a Safari browser extension. This allows users to set the chatbot as their default search engine.
Additionally, the company has made ChatGPT’s search features available to everyone, eliminating the need for registration to use them. This means more users can now access AI-powered search capabilities without extra restrictions.
