Berlin Association of European and Armenian Specialists NGO, in cooperation with Yerevan HAIKONG LLC, from June 15, 2024 to June 14, 2025 plans to organize and hold "Information technology training courses for wounded and disabled soldiers, volunteers, as well as those forcibly displaced from Artsakh" program.
It is sponsored by the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, supported by the RA Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs and the Armenian National Agrarian University.
Project goal
Taking into account the difficult social situation caused by the forced displacement of Artsakh citizens, which still causes problems in education, general development and elimination of the consequences of the war, the program aims to increase the educational level of soldiers injured or disabled during the 44-day war and those forcibly displaced from Artsakh and to support them so that they can find a high-paying job.
Project description
The following courses are held under the above program:
- Mathematics,
- Higher mathematics,
- Python programming basics,
- Artificial intelligence and machine learning,
- WEB programming,
- Quality Assurance (QA),
- Technical English language courses.
Prior knowledge in the field of IT is not mandatory for applicants. Based on the results of the three-month exams, the participants will choose a more accessible specialization in line with their strengths and knowledge in the IT sector. For example, after the first three-month exams, the participants of the program are divided into two groups: those studying the Python program with the direction of studying artificial intelligence and those learning WEB programming. Another 3rd group studying quality assurance (QA) courses is formed based on thes results of the second quarter exam. The program is concluded at the end of the 4th quarter with the presentation of the practical design works carried out during the course.
The classes of all the above-mentioned subjects are held in offline and online mode, and the participants who successfully complete the program are given qualification certificates by Hema Foundation NGO.
