A failure occurred in the operation of Telegram Messenger on Monday; this became known from the data of the DownDetector service. More than 200 complaints about disruptions were registered on the portal.

Most of the users complain that the mobile app of Telegram Messenger does not work, and, also, they cannot connect to the internet. The aforesaid app keeps downloading, showing that it can't connect to the server; and the chats don't open either.

The problem is related to the operation of Telegram's data center in Europe, the Russian TASS news agency reports, citing Russian communications regulator Roskomnadzor.

The last time a failure was registered in Telegram was on July 30. On that day, 74% of users reported issues with network connectivity and content downloads. A total of 24% of users complained about problems related to the functionality of Telegram Messenger. And 2% of users said they were unable to access their account.

Earlier, Google engineer Dan Reva announced that he discovered a dangerous vulnerability in the version of the Telegram Messenger for macOS, which can be used to activate the computer's camera and microphone.

The Gaming Deput website explained that this vulnerability enables a hacker to inject a malicious dynamic library (Dylib) into the version of Telegram for macOS, and this enables the hacker to record the video taken by the camera and store the recording in a hidden folder.

But later, Telegram founder Pavel Durov dismissed the existence of such vulnerability.
