The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, will be released exclusively for Nintendo Switch on May 12, 2023.
From what we've been shown in the trailers, the game looks a lot like its predecessor, but it's also added a number of curious innovations, including an over-the-top vertical in the open world.
The game (the standard version so far) is already available for pre-order on Amazon, Best Buy and GAME (in the UK) - for $59.99.
What do we know about The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?
A new The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom trailer was shown during the Nintendo Direct on September 13, 2022, but the game was first announced at E3 2019.
According to fans, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the best game ever made (interestingly enough, it didn't make the top 20 best-selling games list https://tech.news.am/rus/news/16/20-samiykh-prodavaemiykh-igr-v-istorii.html), and its sequel is expected to be just as good.
In the E3 2021 trailer, Link skydives, flies a paraglider over Hyrule, uses his ability to freeze objects and send them through the air, uses a flamethrower, and teleports vertically through a rock of one of the hovering islands. It looks quite impressive!
