From January to March 2023, more than five new Armenian brands entered the Wildberries online trading platform, and the total number of Armenian entrepreneurs registered on the platform reached 1458 sellers. The sales volumes of Armenian products on the platform increased 1.5 times during the mentioned period and amounted to 352 million rubles (about $4.3 million).
According to the company, toys, holiday, health and home products, as well as food and clothing, were the most in-demand products among buyers. And new sellers appeared mostly in the segments of cosmetics, household goods and accessories.
The most original products of this season are the four-part breakfast pans of the Dream House brand, the talking candle with a love message of the Light Your Home brand. Among the products that have become a hit are natural fruit compotes of the Armenian brand Agrofood and dry products without sugar and dyes of the Rifruit brand, which are also produced in Armenia.
In January-March of this year, compared to the same period of 2022, the leaders in the category of local products with the highest dynamics of sales growth are:
- Toys (+773%),
- Health products (+302%),
- Household goods (+267%),
- Leisure goods (+227%),
- Cosmetics and perfumes (+245%),
- Accessories for home (+143%),
- Children's linen (+131%),
- Goods (+124%)․
The company also notes that the development of logistics infrastructure in the country and the launch of the first Wildberries logo center in Yerevan in April 2022 made it possible to increase the speed of delivery of orders to the country's residents by an average of 40 hours compared to last year. Local entrepreneurs, in turn, have been able to manage logistics more efficiently, increase sales and expand their product range on the market.
