Google introduces AI tools for Gmail, other services: They enable to create texts, images, audio, video

Google is releasing a number of artificial intelligence (AI) tools for Workspace apps.  These tools, which enable users to create texts, images, emails, videos and audio, will soon appear in services like Gmail, Docs, Sheets, and Slides.

Texts and letters

The new AI tools in Gmail and Docs will be able to create texts, such as an email, which the user can edit and finalize before sending. The user just needs to briefly describe what the email should be about. You can also choose what tone the generated text should have. For example, it can be formal or, conversely, informal and friendly.

This feature will be available to testers soon, but it is not yet known when all other users will get it.

Creating images, videos, and audio

In presentations made with Slides, users will be able to create images, videos and sound files, which will speed up the process of creating presentations and make their design more diverse and interesting.

Creation of formulas, data analysis

Thanks to these new AI tools in Sheets, it will be possible to create formulas, have access to data analysis and visualize them.

Creating backgrounds for online calls

In Meets, users will be able to create unique backgrounds for online calls. It will also be possible to highlight the most important information from the notes.

The new tools will help significantly speed up many processes in the corporate environment, as part of the usual tasks will be carried out by the AI.

However, developers remind that chatbots are still far from perfect, as they can give wrong answers, and therefore any content they create should be double-checked.
