Philips unveils 45-inch ultra-wide monitors with curved screen

Philips introduced two professional monitors with a 45-inch diagonal and extra-wide curved screen. The screens have an aspect ratio of 32:9 and a resolution of 5120×1440 pixels.

According to Harware Info, the UltraWide 45B1U6900C and UltraWide 45B1U6900CH models are based on 8-bit VA matrices with a response time of 4 ms (GtG), refresh rate of 75 Hz and maximum brightness of 450 cd/m2. The screens are VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified, with a 107 percent NTSC color gamut and a 123 percent sRGB color standard. The screens have a curvature radius of 1,500R.

The UltraWide 45B1U6900CH has a built-in 5-megapixel camera with support for Windows Hello feature authorization. The UltraWide 45B1U6900C has one USB Type-C and one USB Type-B. In addition, the UltraWide 45B1U6c900C has a KVM switch that allows you to control two computers with one mouse and keyboard. In turn, the UltraWide 45B1U6900CH has two USB Type-C connectors.

The screen also has two HDMI 2.0 and one DisplayPort 1.4 connectors. The USB Type-C connectors on both models provide up to 100 watts of power to an external device. Both monitors got four USB Type-A connectors on the bottom edge, one of which has a fast charging feature. An additional USB Type-C connector on the bottom of the 45B1U6900CH is capable of transferring up to 15 watts of power to a connected external device.

The monitors also have a Gigabit LAN connection, 3.5mm audio output and a pair of 5W speakers. The novelties come with ergonomic stands that allow you to change the height of the screen, as well as its tilt.

The company did not disclose information about how much UltraWide 45B1U6900C and UltraWide 45B1U6900CH monitors would cost.
