Even in 2025, this issue remains a topic of discussion, though technology has advanced dramatically. What Burn-In Is and Why It Happens

Burn-in is the irreversible degradation of organic light-emitting diodes, where a “ghost” image of static elements (like a TV logo, Windows taskbar, or game HUD) remains faintly visible.
