Armenian-founded startup Modicus Prime has received a preliminary investment of $1.1 million, founder and CEO Taylor Chartier has said.

«Modicus Prime’s team has successfully raised a pre-seed round with our outstanding network of venture capitalists, life sciences strategic partners, and angel groups. We have built a strong foundation to continue accelerating research and saving commercial costs with our computervision technology for our pharma, CDMO, and biotech customers,' she wrote on her LinkedIn account.

Modicus Prime offers artificial intelligence/machine learning-based solutions that process heterogeneous life science data for anomaly detection, monitoring and effective decision-making.

For example, the company's computer vision solution, called mpVision, provides intelligent image analysis for monitoring biological agents at any scale. mpVision has been tested by scientists from 10 leading pharmaceutical companies supporting the pharmaceutical industry's mission to eliminate environmental pollution.

The company's self-service software also helps with real-time tracking of product quality assurance, tracking operational cost reductions and more.

The company's services include initial IT consulting, self-service software development, end-user training and education, and providing IT support for specific project needs.
